I’ve always had my nose stuck in a nutrition or wellness book. But, despite reading nearly everything on the subject, I spent many years of my life experiencing insomnia, anxiety, severe adrenal fatigue, and a host of digestive issues. I had reached my breaking point. I knew something had to change and that’s when my healing journey began.
Let me back up a little...
I grew up in Ukraine and moved to the USA when I was 17.
A Business Degree later, I immersed myself in the corporate world for 5 years. I was thrilled as I worked an amazing job with equally incredible people at one of the biggest privately held companies in America. But, I just couldn’t shake off the feeling that I was in the wrong place doing the wrong thing.
After years of pushing myself hard at work, exercising to exhaustion, relying on too much sugar and caffeine to wake me up and get me through the day, I crashed. Things got so bad that I was sleeping an average 3 hours a night and having a negative reaction to almost everything I ate.
I was going from doctor to doctor without clear answers, taking pill after pill and progressively feeling worse. After hitting a rock bottom with my health, I realized that the only way I could get better is to stop relying on the next doctor to give me the "magic pill" and put myself in charge of my own health.
And so, I did exactly that.
I left my job and went back to school to become a Certified Holistic Health Coach at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I studied over 100 different dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. I started to make strategic dietary changes, removing toxins, incorporating essential oils into my life and my health started to transform…
As I began to realize that stress and anxiety were the root cause of my many symptoms, I started my yoga teacher training. I turned inwards and searched for my truth, desires and purpose of my life and realized what I was missing the whole time - nourishment from within. The missing piece of the puzzle was self-acceptance and a sense of purpose and meaning in my life.
It’s not just about what we eat, but what we drink, breathe, and use on our largest organ, our skin! I started integrating essential oils into my life and slowly got rid of all toxic products in my house. During my own health journey, I learned how to make the nutrition choices specifically tailored to my body, how to balance my life and always prioritize self-care and self-love. I learned how to nourish myself from the inside and out, to be more intuitive about my health and listen to what my body really needs.
Today I am so thrilled to share what I've learnt along the way and to empower women to take control of their own health and to prioritize self-love + self-care.
